My First Drink/Food Menu Design
For days James has been asking me to help him with a Drink/Food Menu design for a specific restaurant. I didn't say No or Yes either and it was not because I don't want to help him that's why i didn't say yes at first. It was only because I was not yet inspired to do the task. Actually, he was working for the restaurant's website, the manager for this restaurant is his friend and a former colleague of mine so I also want to help him out with it but it was just not my day.
Yesterday, I gathered the strength to do the Menu at last. Maybe because the manager was already asking for it and so the power of pressure plus the adrenaline rush was hunting me that time. So, what happened was I begun making the layout, since the old menu was available, I based the color combination with it. Maroon and Gold. Oh! This reminds me of my Alma Mater, CIT-University.
Anyways, I started with the layout and then viola! I was able to finish the first page, well, not really the entire first page because there are still missing information details. But what I mean is that 90% of the page is complete. The next pages for the food name and price list was easy to do, the only hard thing there was to type their titles, they were Indian terms and some may sound awkward so I need to re-read the terms. But overall, it was just a way of duplicating the layer and editing the text layers. By the way, I used Adobe Photoshop CS4 for the design.
I started making the design at one in the afternoon, I used James' HP laptop first but after two hours of using it, I got tired of waiting for the program to respond again, it was all running in circles. Clicking for action commands then the Photoshop won't respond, need to wait for like 7 minutes, respond again then clicks, Oh! It was such a pain. So I switched to my notebook, copied the .psd files and olah! I waited no more. That was a way better than his pc. I guess that was a sign that he needs to buy a new one soon, tsk tsk tsk.
At four in the afternoon, I was able to finish the whole six pages. As I've said, the rest of the price list was okay except the typing part, that was the only thing which slowed down the making process.

Since today is my rest day, James and I went for a walk at the downtown bringing with us my Sony DSC-S2000 just in case we'll be seeing some good view. The last time I went there was like history, I could hardly remember when that was. So I'm glad we had today and spent it with something we love to do. Here are some of the photos I have taken:

Cup Cakes Fresh from the Oven!
Hey guys!
I am so excited to share to you my new creations, guess what? I was able to create some tasty cupcakes. Yes! Won’t you believe me? This morning, I was inspired to work with my baby tablet and started to make yummy cupcakes via Adobe Photoshop. Yehey! I am no cook actually, I don’t know how to bake even a single piece of cake but with Photoshop, I was successful with my cupcakes, I even created a huge whole piece of strawberry cake. Hmmmm… this makes me hungry, I bet you too, hahaha.
Anyways, to start over, I would like you to take one here. This isn’t a birthday party or something but please have your selves some. Hehehe. Sorry guys but I guess I am imagining here, don’t blame me, but I am really happy today because of this cupcakes here. So please take some. I have named them myself.
First is my "Strawberry Cupcake":
Wow, isn’t it yummy to look at? I love the strawberry top here. I wish it can be real so I can take my bite. Okay then, I’ll stop drooling here but I’ll do that later since there are lots more to come. Next…

I named it “Jean’s Cherry Cupcake”, of course it real obvious because of the cherry at the top of the cupcake. My tongue is kinda watering now, hehehe how about yours? Weeeeeh, don’t worry guys, as I have mentioned, everyone gonna get your share, just let me introduce them to you first. Next…
This is my own “Choco Cupcake”, yes it is chocolate. Who doesn’t love chocolates anyway? I even sprinkled it with some sweet stuff. It will be great if we can sit down here, have some chitchats and then together we take our own bites until we leave no cup alive. Hahaha. Well, too much for that and let’s move on…
Here is my “Love cup”, the icing here has covered everything up even the cup. I so love this because of the hearts. This just reminds me of how I am super in love these days. I want to dedicate this to my love, James Figues, I hope he’ll love it too just the way I am deeply in love with him. Weeeeh! This makes me corny. Yeeks...
Lastly is my whole “Strawberry Cake”. Before I had created the cupcakes, I created the cake first so here it is:
This can be served for birthdays, holidays and anniversaries, any occasion will do just take the candle out, that’s for birthdays only. Anyway, I guess I am full now, I need to take those strawberries and give you some, here… take it.

Brand new "About ME"
If you haven't noticed, I have changed my About the author page, instead of the profile info, I created a jpeg photo, a few edits and just few words there, a general information about me and the site.
Basically, I created this blog in exchange to the previous blog which have been closed by blogger because of some issues. The posts here are all composed and created by my own and I myself had experienced. So, there could be contents that you won't like or ideas that you disagree with, just take it easy because it is simply my own way of expressing my experiences and thoughts. So just chill, if you want me to know, then comment out. Alright?

About the tag, it looks like a tag though..hehe I used Adobe Photoshop for this, I used some brushes, I mean almost 80% of the page is made of brushes, I also used the pen tool for the curves and added some effects on the texts. The font that I used here is "starry night" which I have downloaded from a free site. I also added a deco brush that marks the end of the sentence.
I was planning to change this part here even before but I didn't have the luxury of time to do so, fortunately, one morning I woke up and was encouraged to start it and here is the good thing here, I was also able to finish it the same day. Yepey!
My first Line Art
On my last post entitled: Wish I may, Wish I might, I had wished that I may be able to use the pen tool and create digital photos, so I started working and researching about it.
Super happy today because I had created my first line art through Adobe Photoshop CS4. This is the result of my research and hardwork, tadaaa!
This is not a finish product though but I am proud that I was able to create one. I used two tools here, pen and brush tools. I am thankful with this site that I bumped into while doing the research, it was a site of Melissa Clifton and she had posts starting with the basic up until the finish product. What I did here is actually on the second stage of the tutorial, after this, I should be able to create a halftone image. However, since I am too excited to show you my creation, I did not wait til I get the final product. I thought it will be better if you guys can also see the progress of my work. So starting with the line art first since this is the basics. I never thought that this is too easy until I read Melissa's tutorial, minus the experiment part. Well, there are instances that you don't have to follow the steps given in the tutorial, we need to really experiment on our own.
So, there you go, I will soon be posting here my creations and the improvements to be in the future. Hope you can also give me tips on how to improve my work, if you could.

Turning Back to My First Love - Scrapbooking
It is almost 2:00 in the afternoon but I can't sleep still.
I don't know why after having a short chitchat with my older brother, I don’t
feel like sleeping anymore and so to make use of the time, I have decided to
post something here on my blog. Yehey!!! It’s been awhile since the last time
that I have published my last post here. I was kinda busy for the past few
days. I was busy with work and we went to the province with the corresponding
weekends so there was never a chance.
Anyways, I am quite excited about my post today, why?
Because it is about my first love, yes! Hehe, my first love was scrapbooking
actually. Way back in secondary years, I love to create small scrapbooks which
contained pictures of people I love. Some of those were already missing, I can’t
seem to find them anymore but good thing I still have my college scrapbooks
with me.
There are a lot of reasons why I just can’t help making scrapbooks.
First, it is like a stress-reliever for me, once I start to cut those colored
papers, I forget all problems and I am refreshed every time I do it. Second, it
is a time-passer, meaning, I feel like forgetting the time. I would be pretty much
focused on it that I would tend to forget it is already midnight (I usually do
scrapbooking at night.) Third, it is a remembrance for me; the most important
thing about scrapbooking is that it keeps memories, which are the only things
that never change. I love to scan through those scrapbooks when I feel alone,
when I have problems, it is like a reliever, and it brings me back to those
happy times.
Since I am now working, I don’t usually do manual
scrapbooking anymore. What I am enjoying now is the digital scrapbook. The idea
is the same; the only thing that has changed is the materials. Before, I used
colored papers, scissors, glues and etc., now I only have the computer and
Adobe Photoshop and I am good to go, and don’t forget the internet, where every
resources come from.
The good thing about having an internet connection is
because you got all you need. In my case, I don’t create those flowers or those
designs from scratch; I usually searches for nice designs and put them all
together, pretty resourceful eh? It is much easier and the result is good. Let
