Gotcha Prime Lens
Bought our second camera lens today, so happy! I never thought I could buy another lens but glad James and I saved some money for this lens that I had been dreaming of - Prime Lens .
This is not a brand new lens though, bought it second hand from Istorya.net. Original price was Php 4900 and we bought it for Php 3800. The lens was still a month old, the seller even gave us the UV filter it came with and another CPL filter with a hood too!
Thanks to Istorya.net and for the seller who was not late!
And here are my first shots without PP editing:

I Love These Games
My routine had a total make over right after I moved to a new apartment. While I would always stay home after work before, now things had definitely changed and this is due to some activities added in my weekly routine, thanks to my work best buddies.
It has been a month since my work shift started at four in the morning. I love this schedule due to the fact that I can sleep the whole night and wake up at three. Grateful that I have our new baby Mia to get me to work much faster than before when I was still commuting. She lets me save an hour time of transportation.
Aside from these, every Friday afternoon at two o’clock, we have this badminton session with the work buddies. Tanya, Darwin, Dhory and Catherine are my team mates before with my previous account and had been my badminton buds too. We play every week at Patt’s located in Cabangcalan Mandaue City for Php 50 unli-play ( unlimited play) until five in the afternoon.

Sunday and Monday are both my rest days as well as my friends so we always make this our "laag" days. But for the past few weeks, we had been going out to unplanned trips and we end up with returning home late night, exhausted and pretty regretful travelling without proper a proper plan.
Just like last weekend, one of my colleagues named Effie asked me to join them on one of their photo-shoot session in a marvelous place in Liloan, Cebu. Yet, prior to the day of the event, we figured out that this place called Amara is a private village and that only those who have appointments to one of the home owners are allowed in the area unless given the authorization of the management though. We hesitated to go but then just went with the flow, all eight of us were on our way to Liloan with four motorcycles.
We passed by SM Cebu City, catch up with each other at Metro Mandaue now known as Pacific Mall, we had a glimpse of the new SM Consolacion which I never had a good picture with and eventually reached Liloan proper. We even reached Barangay Catarman where Amara village is located but we realized that one of our motorcycles was running out of gas, Mia (our own motorcycle) was also almost drained up too, it was already almost fifteen minutes passed five.
Considering the gas outage and Effie sent us a notification that they were not able to come inside because they didn't called for any appointment or reservation, we decided to turn back and just go to a nearer area and look for a gas station. We stopped by Papa Kits but ended up leaving because it was almost dark and we won't be able to enjoy the place. Good thing we were able to get to a gas station and filled our tanks to its full.

My previous post was about how James lost my Zeus helmet and that I was in search for a new helmet, I am just glad that payday went earlier than usual and we went ahead and looked for my new helmet. We allotted a budget of Php 1500-2500.
First stop: Drakes Motorcycle Parts
Shop is located in Guadalupe Street, Guadalupe. Went we went there last Saturday, July 14, 2012 number of customers mostly guys were present and testing out some of their helmets too! We found Index Titan 7 I-shield, it was OK but I didn't like the gray colored inner foam because I know it would get easily dirty. They only had a couple of stocks left, most of them were full faced helmets and so we decided to just call them since their new stocks will arrive next week. Their helmets cost starts from Php 1400. Contact number: +639225303854, (032) 5146210.
Second stop: Motoworld
We purchased both our helmets here a month ago, located in G/F The Forum, Archbishop Reyes Ave. , Lahug. The shop was under renovation when we went there and there were numerous customers too compared to the last time we visited the shop. Too sad because they don't have any open faced helmets anymore, we found a white LS2 Modular type worth Php 2500, I thought it is a good price considering the quality but it didn't fit me. It was too small for me that when I tried it on, I had a hard time breathing and I felt like my cheeks were being pressed together real hard. We didn't buy it, it was a bit regretful but it's OK, in the first place, I really didn't consider buying a full face helmet I still prefer an open faced one. Contact number: (032) 268-2628
How James Lost My Zues 506W Helmet
A month ago, James and I visited Motoworld Cebu and purchased our first Zeus 506W helmet, after a couple of days, we bought an LS2 helmet and had been using them, I used the Zeus and James used the other one. I love both helmets especially mine because it isn’t just an open face type of helmet. Has thick foam and it is comfortable to use. It also a double visor on it and I look like a total rider. Teehee
This is how my Zues helmet looks like, I don't even have a clear photo of it, got this photo from the web |
But we had a very unfortunate event two days ago because James lost my helmet and he never realized that he lost it already after almost 24 hours. Funny how he left it hanging on one of the bike’s handle and after locking up the bike immediately went home. We usually had to park it outside the apartment and left it there overnight until he takes me to work at four in the morning. When he reached the apartment, he never even wondered why he just had one helmet on hand and just went back to bed that morning. When he went to work at 12:30 noon, he never notice that there’s only one helmet in the helmet stand and just went to his office, when the night came and he went home at almost 11 in the evening, I was on the other hand sleeping already. Now, the truth came to him when he placed his helmet on the stand, he told me it was like he was thrown with a container of cold water when he realized he left it outside. He kept on asking for forgiveness and though I was like upset about it since that was just a month old, I kept myself cool and comforted him instead because he was like he lost a loved one at that time. It was a Php 2500 worth helmet and losing it was really a pain but it is just a thing though, we know we can have it replaced and just charge it to experience.

Broadbandest
Smartbro claims they are the fastest internet provider throughout the country and had tested it with the help of NESIC and Sysnet, two professional speed-test experts.
Since I just switched back to Smartbro a week ago, I want to test the speed I am getting with it. We are subscribed to their WiMax 1 Mbps and so since they had tested the speed with some of the most accurate speed-test websites from around the world, I also did my own testing on our speed. Here's what I got:
