Me Hearts Korean Drama: Playful Kiss
This Korean Drama revolves around the story of two totally different high school students who eventually complemented each other and ended up falling to each other's arms.
Oh Ha Ni, is just a normal student, she isn't good at anything except that she is persistent and optimistic about something she likes. On the contrary, Baek Sueng-jo is a man who knows all, he is the top one student in their campus. While he is good at his grades, he has a not so good attitude especially to those students whom he refers as "dumb".
Their first encounter was when Baek Sueng-jo bought a drink from a vending machine and Oh Ha Ni helped him get the stuck drink by kicking the machine.
By that time, Oh Ha Ni got the guts to send him a love letter which was then ignored by Baek Sueng-jo , instead he rated it as D- and corrected some wrong grammars on the letter. He somehow returned it to Oh Ha Ni and had insulted her in front of a crowd.
There were many instances where Oh Ha Ni was insulted by Baek Sueng-jo but she was still persistent about liking him. The feelings got much stronger when a tragedy occurred, Oh Ha Ni and his dad's newly built house broke down when a mild earthquake took place. A Good Samaritan saw the news and happened to be Oh Ha Ni's father's best friend in college. They Soon stayed at the best friend’s house and Oh Ha Ni then found out that
Baek Sueng-jo was the son!
Though they have arguments on their own and Baek Sueng-jo looked like he doesn't like Oh Ha Ni at all, deep inside him, he was developing a different type of emotion towards the girl.
The first kiss happened during their graduation party, Oh Ha Ni was telling him that she will forget him that time; she was then surprised when Baek Sueng-jo told her not to and then kisses her in the lips. It dropped her down to her knees and cried. She was thinking he was just playing on her.
The second kiss happened when she was sleeping in a park and Baek Sueng-jo came to pass by, not aware that his little brother was there, he then kissed her. Oh Ha Ni on the other hand was dreaming about him of course and in that dream, he had kissed her too. When she woke up, Baek Sueng-jo was not there anymore.
A certain time came when Oh Ha Ni decided to stopped liking him because she thought he never likes him and has an eye for another girl. By that time, Oh Ha Ni was entertaining an old admirer from High school. It was raining when she returned home, Baek Sueng-jo was there waiting for her with an umbrella in hand. She talked about the date and that she will then try to look on some other guy. This hurt him and caused to reveal his real feelings for Oh Ha Ni then eventually kissed her again under the rain. (Such a romantic scene!)
Oh Ha Ni can't contain her emotions, she eventually cried. Their relationship ended to wedding bells. Baek Sueng-jo then told her that he finds her cute and pretty sometimes which makes him wonder more about her and eventually made him love her. On their wedding day, Oh Ha Ni learned about the second kiss from Baek Sueng-jo’s little brother, made her feel much better on her wedding day.
