Me Hearts Korean Drama: Playful Kiss

This Korean Drama revolves around the story of two totally different high school students who eventually complemented each other and ended up falling to each other's arms.

Oh Ha Ni, is just a normal student, she isn't good at anything except that she is persistent and optimistic about something she likes. On the contrary, Baek Sueng-jo is a man who knows all, he is the top one student in their campus. While he is good at his grades, he has a not so good attitude especially to those students whom he refers as "dumb".

Their first encounter was when Baek Sueng-jo bought a drink from a vending machine and Oh Ha Ni helped him get the stuck drink by kicking the machine.

By that time, Oh Ha Ni got the guts to send him a love letter which was then ignored by Baek Sueng-jo , instead he rated it as D- and corrected some wrong grammars on the letter. He somehow returned it to Oh Ha Ni and had insulted her in front of a crowd.

Me Hearts Korean Drama : BIG

I recently finished another Korean drama series titled “BIG”; it was a story about a high school male student named Kang Gyung Joon whose soul entered a man’s body, Seo Yoon Jae during an accident. Seo Yoon Jae was about to be married with Gil Da Ran yet Da Ran was doubtful with his feelings for her, he was about to tell her about his true feelings but the accident occurred. Only Gil Da Ran knew about the switching of the souls, KKJ pretended to be her fiancĂ©e while Seo Yoon Jae was sleeping in KKJ’s body. Because of the story’s complication, both Da Ran and KKJ acted to be lovers and soon got married until KKJ felt in love with her and she fell within his love too!

Review:
I had great expectations to this series knowing that the main character was portrayed by Gong Yoo of the famous Coffee Prince which has a Filipino version now aired by GMA. The first episodes were nice I admit it, Gong Yoo had shown her own charisma and he had definitely changed. From Coffee Prince, he has a more manly body now, my friend Camille who had recommended the series describe him, the man with chocolate abs. His face is now much skinny compared to before yet his eyes still stayed the same. The internet said he had gone to the Korean army and this series was his return drama.

Me Hearts Korean Drama: Spellbound

It has been ages since I last watched a Korean movie and I am so glad I got to watch one last weekend. I downloaded this movie I saw on one of my Facebook friends’ wall post entitled “Spellbound”, a romantic horror movie with a blend of comedy. I am not really a fan of horror movies because whenever I watch one, I can’t help but shout at scary scenes, James became annoyed with my ear aching scream and wouldn't watch anything scary with me. But since this film has a blend of comedy and romance, I had the guts to get my eyes on it.

The story is all about a girl named Yu-Ri who had been hunted by ghosts since high school after surviving a terrible accident where her best friend died. Her family left her and her friends turns their backs from her, since then she has been living alone and lonely until she met a street magician called Yo-Goo.  Yo-Goo noticed her while performing because she never smiled the entire show; he followed her and was mystified by her presence. He then thought of an idea while following Yu-Ri, he asked her to be a part of that idea which hit the market and soon, Yo-Goo became famous of his terrific show where he will drive out a ghost from a closet, the ghost points her killer and chooses one of the audience who will be taken inside the closet afterwards as a part of their magic trick.

Yu-Ri performs as the ghost in the show and it has been years since they tried convincing her to join them for dinner but she kept on refusing until that point where Yo-Goo insisted and Yu-Ri had no other choice but to join them. She became drunk after dinner and for some reasons ripped off Yo-Goo’s shirt. Because of the incident, Yu-Ri called Yo-Goo to ask for apology but during their conversation, Yu-Ri screamed because she saw her dead friend over the window. Yo-Goo was very worried that he went to Yu-Ri’s house to check how she was doing when he himself saw a ghost boy outside Yu-Ri’s house. This boy followed him at his house and from then on, he has been seeing ghosts too and learned how Yu-Ri’s life story.

Me Hearts Korean Drama: A Moment To Remember

Sad love stories are my favorites because I tend to cry and feel like I am on their shoes. Today, I had just watched a Korean Movie Drama titled A Moment To Remember starring Son Ye-jin and Jung Woo-sung. I like how their story blossomed. While Su-Jin (Son Ye-jin) was dumped by his boyfriend who was unfortunately married, she went to a family store and accidentally snatched Cheol-Su's (Jung Woo-sung) soda, thinking it was her's. That was their first meeting and the rest was history. The soda moments made me think of the soda scenes of the K-drama Lie to Me.

Cheol-Su was a carpenter turned architect in the story, he had that construction worker look with rugged pants and rusty shirts plus tools hanging on his belt. Though he had that aura, Su-Jin was very attracted to him, in fact she was persistent and soon successful in getting Cheol-Su's sight and then soon his heart, only that she never had heard him say 'I Love You' to her.

Me Hearts Korean Drama: Coffee Prince

Synopsis from wiki.d-addicts:
The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is not easy; she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to settle down, so she arranged many dates for him. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul's grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. Eun Chan begged to work at the coffee shop, and not long after, feelings start to spark, except, how would Han Kyul accept his "homosexuality"?
I would say I had enjoyed this drama because of the characters and the story itself. Though the boy to boy situation was still common, the story had it's own uniqueness due to the environment and the cast who portrayed the characters. I like how they all had different personalities and how had complimented to it. Most specially the main cast, Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo.

Me Hearts Korean Drama: Lie To Me

Not too long ago, I talked about the K-drama Lady Castle or much commonly known as My Fair Lady here in the Philippines. I was happy with how the drama went to so I looked up on some other series that Yoon Eun Hye had appeared too. Aside from Princess Hours and Coffee Prince (I never was able to finish it), I just realized that she had actually appeared in Lee Min Ho's Personal Taste as well. Anyway, I got intrigued with this drama titled Lie To Me where Eun-Hye was the main character and this is her latest drama so last Saturday night, no it was already Sunday dawn, without hesitation I started watching it and boy, how I loved the series. Want to ask me why, check the synopsis first from asianmediawiki.com:

Me Hearts Korean Drama: Lady Castle

I finished watching Lady Castle aka My Fair Lady today,  another korean drama, I started watching it last monday and glad I got to finish it three days after though I still have work. The truth is, I sleep 4-5 hours a day only because of this drama, well that's all sleep I could actually get if I have work but if I am on rest day, I can sleep all day long. The good thing is I can watch it at work using our simulation units but not too often since there are managers around. Teehee!

So what is this Lady Castle all about? Here is a citation from Wikipedia:
Kang Hye-na, the only successor of Kang-san Group, is the owner of the ‘Lady Castle’ and lives a ‘princess-like’ life with her servants. Hye-na’s parents died from a plane accident and her grandfather brought her up. Hye-na is strong-headed and selfish, whose world revolves around her because she could not experience the warmth of a family whilst growing up. One day, she comes across Dong-chan when she is carelessly driving and knocks into Dong-chan's truck in which he is shipping flowers. She knocks out a bunch of flowers from his truck so Dong-chan goes to complain. She refuses to apologise but just gives him money. She drives away although Dong-chan isn't satisfied. He chases after her and eventually cuts her of at the end of a road. Kang Hye-na ignores this and just drives straight into his truck. As a consequence of this he makes Hye-na do community service, kidnaps her, and appears in front of her as the new household manager. Hye-na makes every effort to throw him out from the Castle, but Dong-chan refuses to budge.

Me Hearts Korean Drama: 49 Days

In just a week, I was able to finish this Korean Drama entitled "49 Days" aka "Pure Love". I'm glad that I was able to finish it up quickly, I say quickly because most of the time, it takes me two to three weeks to finish a series since I am working. The truth is, I was currently watching the Lee Min Ho's "City Hunter" and I was at episode 19 when ABS-CBN started airing the "Pure Love". Since City Hunter's 19th episode was not yet available at that time, BTW I watch the videos at Youtube of course, I was tempted to check on the said series. I got attached to it's drama and a bit of comedy so I went straight and just a few minutes ago, I found myself on it's final parts already. That was pretty quick!

Let me share my own quick review as well, so the story revolves around Ji-Hyun (Nam Gyu-Ri), a happy go lucky woman living her perfect life as the only daughter of a rich loving parents. She has two best friends and was soon to be married to her fiance. Kang Min Ho (Bae Soo Bin), Ji-Hyun's  fiance who has a hidden agenda towards Ji-Hyun's family company. Song Lee Kyung (Lee Yo Won), a depressed woman who caused Ji-Hyun's untimely death but ended to be Ji-Hyun's lost sister. Song Yi-Soo or the Scheduler (Jung Il Woo), portrays as the angel of death but also was revealed as the cause of Song Lee Kyung's five years of suffering. Han Kang (Jo Hyeon-Jae), secretly inlove with Ji-Hyun and the first person who found out that she is using Lee Kyung's body during daytime.
