DOST Haven't Forgotten Yet

This post goes to all the 2009 DOST scholar graduates and to the DOST office who haven't forgotten us, the scholars though it has been two long years since the graduation date. I guess the Philippines' DOST office believes in the saying "Better late than never." Yeah, I might just say, at least they had given it even though it is way too late now but hey! Isn't it their obligation to provide those stipends at the right time?

I can still recall when I was studying my bachelor's degree in Information Technology at Cebu Institute of Technology known now as CIT-University, the stipends for our DOST scholarships had never been early nor on time. It was always a month late, even the tuition fees. We would always wonder why it has never been early. We never had the courage to ask or question them why or even file a complaint about it because we were just merely scholars.

Anyway that was before, two years ago and I had almost forgotten about it since graduation. I am only concern with my personal agreement with DOST where in we need to work in my native land the same exact years that they had been sponsoring my studies. But a good news had called me today in facebook. A friend and a DOST scholar as well tagged a photo of me on her wall. Here, take a look:

My name is listed and James as well and the rest of these guys are my classmates. Though we are still thankful that they haven't forgotten this, we would even be grateful if this graduation allowance was given right after our graduation. This surely had been a great help during our job hunting stage.

Anyway, thanks DOST!
