Giveaway: Vintage Photo Diary
Anything vintage attracts me and so when Postcrosser Haven joined the Pasko Sa Agosto giveaway last month, I never hesitated to join it. Unfortunately, it wasn't my fate to get that one.

how to convert old facebook profile to new timeline profile

Lately, Facebook has made some changes on how news feeds show and how the photos posted are also viewed. Hundreds if not thousands of users didn't like it, in fact they searched for a way to bring back the old layout. But today, numbers of users are going "gaga" with Facebook's new Timeline profile and I would admit, I had been hooked with it as well. It's funny how updates like this happen and users can't wait until the release date. The truth is, the Timeline profile is still on it's beta stage and only developers can convert their profiles to this new one. However, we would always find for tricks on how to get this awesome changes on our own profiles too.
I said on my previous post that I will share to you how I convert my own profile to this timeline thing, so today please enjoy the step by step instructions plus photos on how you could get the timeline profile on your own accounts too! Here's how I did it:
Why I love Damon Salvatore
Last week's been an ordinary week and it feels like this week would become the same except that I had been busy watching YouTube videos about Damon and Elena of the Vampire Diaries. I am totally hooked with the series since season one. Have you seen the second episode for the third season already? If you haven't watched it yet, better start getting a copy now, you might regret not getting one because the third season has a lot of Delena moments. In fact, the first episode opened up with Elena seeing Damon totally naked, uhmm... well, he was actually wearing soap bubbles that time. Oppsy! I even published Elena's expression in my Tumblr account. Check it out:

What's so nice about my trip back to my homeland today was that I only had to spend a hundred bucks for the ship fare on my way to Tubigon from cebu and 90 bucks to Tagbilaran. I met mom at the city and she paid for my fare going to guindulman. I had an instant 50% discount for my fare. Jadestar Shipping had a php 100 promo today and I found myself lucky for this.
Here are some of the photos I have taken during my land travel from Tubigon to Tagbilaran City.

Lapulapu Versus Lolong

I bet you have already heard about this gigantic salt crocodile captured in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. When I opened Yahoo news today, I saw the photos published about how big the crocodile is. And looking at the photos made me think of Crocolandia's oldest and largest crocodile, Lapulapu. I want to figure out how big Lolong is [the newly captured crocodile's name] and so I have compared it to Lapulapu since I had already seen it personally.
Before comparing the two, allow me to give a thumbs up to the people of Agusan del Sur lead by Municipal Mayor Cox Elorde for doing a good job in hunting down and capturing this huge beast "alive" for the sake of the people in their society. So let's move on then.
Movies: Surinder is Khan and He is Not a Terrorist

For quiet awhile, I had been hearing good reviews about this movie entitled "My Name is Khan", and though I have the copy in my drives for almost a month, I didn't bother to watch it until today. It's my four-day rest's last day and that the first thing I did in the morning was to watch any movie I have in my movie folder. And so I opted to watch this one. First thing that came in my mind is that it's a movie about politics because of the movie's poster which shows the United States' Flag on it and the tuxedo too. Little did I know that this has something in it that will make my eyes swell and give me more information and knowledge about the other beliefs.
So what is the movie all about then?
Obviously, it is a Bollywood movie about a Muslim named Rizvan Khan who was diagnosed of Asperger's Syndrome, it can be related to Autism but he is smart and he has an ability to repair almost any mechanical material. He was sponsored by his brother to live in the United States after the death of their mother. He then met Mandira, a divorced Hindu woman who works in a Salon. He persuaded her and eventually became his wife.
Their life was almost perfect until the attack that took place in September 11 and soon experience the post 9-11 prejudice. Sam, Mandira's son has a friend named Reese whose father was killed while covering the war at Afghanistan. Because of Reese's father's death, he turned his back on Sam, they had a fight and this ended up with Sam's death. The story behind Rizvan's line, "I am Khan and I am not a terrorist" started. During his journey, he had touched a lot of lives. Despite his illness, he was able to share to the people he met the only thing he believes, that there are only two kinds of people, good people who does good deeds and bad people who does bad things. Religion or even race doesn't matter at all.
He was imprisoned because of misunderstanding but soon was released after proven innocent, his relationship with his wife rekindled after Mandira found the justice of her son's death. They soon was able to meet the President of the United States and reassured Khan that "he is not a terrorist".
Playful Cafe Noriter in Dumaguete City
While James and I were in Dumaguete last August, I made sure we can visit this coffee shop that I had read from Creative Dork's blog. Curious with how playful the place is as with Robbie's photographs and he also stated they serve cheaper coffees too.
Surprisingly, the cafe was just a few blocks away from where we stayed in the island so it was no sweat getting there.
I learned that the Dumagauete branch is the first branch ever here in the country. There are computer units inside and you can actually use it for Php 20 per hour, if that is too pricey for you, there are more units at the second floor costs Php 15 per hour. But if you have your own laptop, just order a minimum of Php50 and your on your way to unlimited wifi internet access, which most coffee shops has.
What I love the most about the place was the interior decoration and how the owner or designer had made the area so playful. I love stationaries, polaroid photos, miniature toys and colorful things and they have all of these inside. I was totally amazed and astonished that there's something like this in Dumaguete. Unlike other coffee shops I've known like starbucks or Bo's, cafe noriter has a child-like, girly, creative feel. I spent my entire time wondering on each displayed items. I had definitely enjoyed being there.
Here are some of the pretty cute stuff you can see there:
Tupperware Giveaway Winner
I was in the office when I received a message from LBC about a package delivery. In my head, I was sure it's from Mommy Gigi and I was definitely right! My housemate (she's a darling) then informed me about it and that they had already signed the package for me.
Excitedly, I immediately took the stuff out from the LBC transpack and merrily welcomed the tupperware products.
You know what, my mom loves tupperware products, basically because of it's proven quality. When I was a child, we have a set of those four square, colored plates. I saw them stored in our cabinets when I went home before, that was like two decades old already but are still usable. Can you imagine that?

Blogger Got A New Face
Have you already switch to Blogger's new interface? If you haven't check it out yet, I suggest you would get to the site now. The interface was changed to a gray one, I was having a little navigation problems when awhile ago but after a few lookin' and learnin', I figured how to move along with the sections. How do you like it? I would say it was sort of inspired by the google+ theme, what do you think?
Here's how the new post interface looks like, the options are still the same, font styles, formatting and all other is pretty the same as the old one except that the post settings were placed in the right hand side and of course the publish, save and preview sections were transferred right next to the post title field.
Welcome September With A Surprise
I was kinda sad and dissapointed today because of James tag me along to one of his appointments but we ended up getting lost because he didn't made sure where the location was. My feet was already aching, my eyes are swollen because I just got out from work and that I was sweating. I felt like going home and leaving him instead when we reached the office. Since my tantrum was already at its peak, I didn't go inside, instead waited at the outside of the building, I wasn't sure what I was doing, there wasn't any chairs out there and there were a lot of vehicles passing by. I thought I just made a wrong decision but my pride was overwhelming and when he went out to check on me and beg me to come inside, I told him I just need to go home, I was too tired to argue. He was too understanding to let me go and send me off, there was no goodbye kiss, hmmp! This is just a bad start for the Ber month. Tsk tsk tsk.
Before reaching home, I passed by Mcdonalds and my weakness was teasing me. I have this tendency to eat or drink what ever appeals me when I am sad. And so I gave in, I ordered a Monster Coke Float though I know what the consequences are.
I was still sad when I reach home and immediately turn my pc on. I never expect something surprising but I learned that I won Mommy Giay's Pasko sa Agosto Tupperware Simply Healthy Set Giveaway! Well, what can I say? Thank you to Mommy Giay and to lady luck!
